Kill the large Opha Guardian that has spawned behind you (as well as any other Guardians nearby) then turn back to the gate. You'll come to a gate with three turrets (called here Onagers) at the top - destroy them and the gate will open. Once the elevator completes it's descent, head to your left down the neon-lit path, taking out Guardians as you go. Keep this up until his health bar reaches zero and you've won access to the Vault elevator in Tycho's Ribs. Once enough of their forces have been depleted, the jet will return and you can resume your corrosive bombardment. Enemies will come to you, meaning that should you enter Fight For Your Life mode, there will usually be one easy-to-kill enemy a few short feet away.Īfter taking enough damage, the jet pilot will dissapear and let the Guardians and Lost Legion troops press their assault for a short while. If you're solo-ing this boss battle, it's best to remain at the top of the central pillar for as long as possible (usually until you need to refill your corrosive weapon ammo). If you're fighting with a group, have two Hunters focus on the soldiers and Guardians while the other two sit atop the large central pillar and concentrate their fire on the jet. The general strategy for defeating RK5 is to use corrosive weaponry on the jet, while using electric/incendiary weapons on the various enemies attacking you from the ground. Keep fighting your way through the complex in Solitudes Edge, then make your way up the stairs of the Legion's barracks to a large windowed hallway that curves off to your left. If you collected the E-Gun from the side mission Sub-Level 13, this is an excellent weapon to use during the final mission.
The Guardians are fast and can do a fair amount of damage, but they're actually quite weak against electric or corrosive weapons - lasers in particular. Once inside, start blasting your way towards the objective waypoint at the elevator room and you'll be introduced to a new enemy type: The Guardians of the Vault. To prevent this, make sure to fully deplete their health bars before they can regenerate.įight your way through the outer shantytown and across the small bridge, then destroy the turrets above the large doorway leading to Solitude's Edge. These "Eternal" soldiers will regenerate health and become more powerful "Ascendent" versions of themselves.
ETERNAL / ASCENDANT MARINES: As you make your way closer to the Vault, you'll start encountering Lost Legion soldiers who have been affected by Vault radiation.
